Not Exactly Life Changing...
I saw a movie last night, one which has been on the top of my 'to see' list for quite a while after reading several books about the subject and it being many a topic for late night, often drunken and passionate, conversation.

I saw 'An Inconvenient Truth' (http://www.climatecrisis.org/), Al Gore's continuation of his pre election conquest for the powers that be to recognise that there is no comparison between the economy and the environment, but that without an environment no one will prosper.

This movie did a lot of things, one thing was that it did not change my views at all: it re - affirmed them and actually made me more aware of the way the climate and the environment works and just how delicate it's workings are. We saw this movie as an LC learning event, to pre ceed a learning circle on global warming, under the wider banner of sustainability. The output of this learning circle are soon to be uploaded to qutlc.nomadlife.org, so you can all read about it there.

It is fast becoming a realisation of mine that this issue of global warming, is right on top of my pile of interesting issues, and rest assured the reading about the issue will continue. I urge everyone to see the movie, for a documentary run in lecture style it is insightful, funny in parts and very eye opening me thinks for those who are a little in the dark on the issue. Those in Australia will also be able to see we are one of the bigger villians in this saga as well.
